pool...

aunt pam brought the boyz a pool this weekend...the perfect size...not too big and not too small...plenty of room for others...the boyz LOVE it...so much, they do not want to get out even when they are shivering...we will have lots of memories in the pool this summer...and soon enough, they will realize it is not a figment of their imagination and it is here to stay!!!

curious...

these two boyz are so curious...they want to know about everything...not just about, but how it works...they were fascinated for 30-45 minutes total today by the hose reel and this puddle...

bedtime has been difficult lately...tonight, andrew is out of town, so i am completely in charge...they stay in their beds for a while, then the screaming and/or throwing starts...i decide, i can be patient...but it goes on for 30 minutes and ends in high pitch screaming...i finally end up going upstairs and end up slamming both doors and yelling at them to go to bed...this failed miserably because they continued to scream, only louder...and ewie got out of his crib, open his "child proof" door handle and was headed into cam's room, when i made it up the stairs...decided to lay down with them both...cam loved it...e could not stop laughing...final plan, put them back into their own beds...i sat on the stairs just listening...they both screamed full bore in the beginning...as time passed, ewie would get loud and as he would fade, cam would get loud...a thought came to me..."what if they did not hear each other?!" so i turned on the attic fan...they both got louder in the beginning...then taking turns...my strong willed cam-a-lam was the last screamer...but the attic fan won...

as i sat on the stairs, listening, i thought about a lot...first of all, i am a first time mom...but with two...it definitely has taken me a lot longer to listen to them cry...any time they both cry at the same time, my heart breaks in half and makes me completely crazed...some of you have experienced this (sorry pam and fritz)...but i held it together tonight...by myself...and i wondered, "what would one child at a time be like?!"...just a little curious...twins are such a blessing but such a challenge...they are just different from singletons...i do believe it is all front loaded, as everyone who has twins tells me...in the long run, i will win : )

pool...

we may need a pool this summer...this morning i pulled out the sprinkler...cam screamed in fear...when it was turned off he played in the puddles with ewie...this afternoon, andrew got out their water table...it started out with splashing...then dunking of their heads...finally moving on to each of them taking turns getting into the water table...this was the last scene (only one captured on film)...ewie decided to climb in, stand up and dance in the water table...cam was none to pleased, this time screaming in outrage...but he got over it...we either need a pool or a bigger water table!!

'roid rage...

no pics today...had no arm or hand to pick up the camera...ewie was in a little 'roid rage...only wanted me to hold him, inside or outside, upstairs or downstairs...added with a high pitch scream...he seems better breathing wise...luckily cam was a great distraction...he kept trying to engage ewie...he knew when i was close to the edge...these boyz balance each other and me...so very lucky...i will be happy when we get past the steroids : )

brotherly love...

ewie has croup, which is confusing & scary with an asthma kid...the asthma medication that makes it all better was not working...after going to the doctor today, he got a new medication to hopefully take care of the croup, while we still manage the asthma with our medications that have seemed to be working...as sorry as i feel for ewie, i feel just as bad for cam...he has had to see some pretty traumatic scenes the past 24 hours...but as cam was laying in his bean bag today before naptime, ewie crawled up next to him...cam tolerated the closeness, longer than i though he would...when he made his move to get a better view of "chuggington," he paused to give ewie a hug...you could tell by the look on ewie's face that he appreciated it...i realized we had another medication...brotherly love...

puddle jumpers...

we had a moment to puddle jump in the rain today...cam primarily hung out at the grill splashing his hand in the sink of water and ewie jumped in the puddles...
